About

Chappell Roan (born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, February 19, 1998) is an American singer-songwriter whose bold, camp-pop style draws on drag culture, ’80s synth-pop, and theatrical aesthetics. She broke through with her breakout single “Pink Pony Club” and later gained massive attention with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (2023), which blends emotional storytelling with dance-pop energy. In 2025, she won the Grammy for Best New Artist, solidifying her place as a rising voice in queer-inclusive pop.
