Nyon is a small lakeside city in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, situated on the shores of Lake Geneva approximately 25 kilometres north-east of Geneva. Known for its Roman heritage, medieval château, and proximity to the Alps, Nyon is home to UEFA headquarters and hosts the internationally acclaimed Visions du Réel documentary film festival each April.
