Sigur Rós

Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band formed in Reykjavík in 1994, known for its ethereal sound, Jónsi’s high falsetto vocals, and inventive use of bowed guitar. They blend classical, ambient, and minimal elements with lyrics in Icelandic and a made-up vocal style called Vonlenska. Their breakout came with Ágætis byrjun, and they’ve kept evolving through albums like Takk..., Valtari, and their latest Átta.
