The Brian Jonestown Massacre is an American rock band founded and led by Anton Newcombe. It was formed in San Francisco in 1990 and has featured a revolving cast of members since forming. Initially influenced by Shoegaze and Dream Pop on their first two albums, the band would eventually shift towards a sound influenced by 1960s Psychedelic rock and Garage rock on their third album, Take It from the Man!.
