Bartees Strange (born Bartees Leon Cox Jr., 1989) is an English-born, Baltimore-based American musician known for pushing indie rock boundaries by blending hip hop, jazz, and alternative sounds. His debut album Live Forever (2020) and sophomore release Farm to Table (2022) earned critical acclaim for their genre-defying approach, while his 2020 EP Say Goodbye to Pretty Boy featured reimagined covers of The National. He has toured with Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, The National, and Boygenius, with his latest album Horror released in 2025.
